Bensley and Dipré - A Collaboration Between Film Photography and Paint

Bensley and Dipré are a collaborative duo based in London in their seventh year of
working together with film photography and paint, amalgamating these two traditional
disciplines into their own highly distinctive visual language.

Shooting on film and predominately in black and white, they create dreamlike, layered
environments in the studio. From the contact sheets they select the silver gelatin prints
to be created in the darkroom. The prints are then reworked with paint by the artists in
their studio, drawing out unexpected imagery full of energy, life and light.

All works are floated in bespoke frames, behind non-reflective, UV protected, museum
quality glass. The frames are designed by Bensley and Dipré and made in London.
